About

Psychological Services and Individual Psychotherapy In Devon

I offer a rage of psychotherapies online and on a one to one basis to address emotional and psychological distress. I specialise in Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP). ISTDP is a well researched, highly effective form of individual psychotherapy that is designed to help you get to the heart of the matter quickly, and resolve issues fast. ISTDP is an emotion focussed approach; a relational therapy that can address a wide range of ongoing problems or symptoms. ISTDP is particularly useful in attending to internal conflicts that can arise from interpersonal relationships. ISTDP can address a range of mental and physical health problems including treatment resistant depression, post traumatic stress, complex trauma, and has a particular focus on helping clients to regulate anxiety.

If you are interested in pursuing ISTDP for a difficulty you may have, please get in touch. I offer an initial brief telephone consultation free of charge. Alternative psychological therapies and psychological services that I provide can be found on the services page.

What If I Am Unsure?

It is not uncommon for people who are thinking about seeking psychotherapy to be apprehensive or unsure about problems they can be helped with, especially if things feel all mixed up. If this is the case, do not worry; I am able to offer a full assessment of your difficulties. We can think together about what might be contributing to your difficulties and why they may not be resolving.

We can also think about how psychotherapy can help you to find a way forward. If we decide that we want to work together, we will set some clear goals to work towards. I will identify and tailor your therapy to suit your individual needs, in order to best help you to achieve your goals. I can also offer a trial therapy to provide an experience of what therapy might be like. For more information about fees and how I practice psychotherapy, please click here.
